Graduate Theological Online Education & Christian Ministry Online: Finding eBooks

A guide for graduate students in NNU's School of Theology and Christian Ministry

Finding ebooks

There are two ways to access the library's ebooks. Just remember that our ebooks are provided by a few different companies, so the look and functionality may be different.

1) From the search box on the library's home page.

  • Choose the Books Icon, then enter search terms and click magnifying glass icon

  • On results page, check the Book box under the Format section on the left-hand side of the page to de-select all book formats, then check ebooks to get only ebook results.

There are two ways to open an ebook:

  • Click View Online button. You may be asked to log in.

              OR

  • Click the title link (the title in the example is John Wesley), then look at Availability (you may need to click Availability to view all options). This will give View eBook links to open the ebook. Note: if ebrary Academic Complete is an option, choose it. It is the most user-friendly.

3) From Databases A-Z.  Click on the Research tab on the library website, then select Databases A-Z.  Choose "ebrary" to search just the ebrary collection of books directly. Other ebook collections are also listed there if you'd like to search them directly - Credo (reference books), Oxford Reference, and  EBSCO ebooks (hint: select Religion from the "Browse by Category" list).
